RECOMMENDATION:

(1) That Progressive Contracting be awarded the Contract for the .
construction of Coast Meridian from the Lougheed Highway to |
Westminster at their tendered price of $556,464.69. . A,

(2) That funding in the amount of $645,500 be allocated for the project : a

Revenue Sharing Grant $ 235,000
Water Capital Budget $ 27,000
Administration ¢ 10,000 .
Development Cost Charge Reserve $ 100,850 ,:
Public Works Capital Budget $ 272,650 4

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

Four bids were received for the above contract 48 follows:

Progressive Contracting $ 556,464.69 =
H.B. Contracting $ 625,925.00 SE
Columbia Bitulithic $ 683,162.78 oo,
Jack Cewe $ 824,998.70

Progressive's tender was complete in all respects, and staff is satisfied that
they have the ability to construct the works to City standards within the
prescribed time. The Committee therefore recommends that the contract be i

awarded to Progressive.
