Carried. From the City Clerk, March Ist, 1989 regarding Director ~- Simon Fraser Health Unit. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Stewart: That the appointment of Dr. Norman N. Arnott, M.Sc., FRCPC, as Director of the Simon Fraser Union Board of Health be ratified and confirmed and that Dr. Arnott be appointed Medical Health Officer for the City of Port Coquitlam. Carried. From the City Clerk, February 28th, 1989 regarding Latecomer Charge Waiver Agreement - Lot 4, Plan 62990/Section 17,18, and 19, Plan 8850. Moved by Aiderman Laking:;: Seconded by Alderman Gates: At the request of and pursuant to the Agreement with Itaru Shimizu dated the 17th of February 1989, BE IT RESOLVED that the works and services described in the aforesaid Agreement and installed or to be installed by the said Itaru Shimizu in connection with the development of the lands described as: Lot 4, except part within heavy black outline taken by Highway Statutory Right-of-way Plan 62990; Sections 17, 18, 19, Block 6, North Range 1 East, N.W.D., Plan 8850, New Westminster District are hereby conclusively deemed to be for the sole benefit of those lands and that none of the cost of providing the said works and services shall constitute “excess or extended services" as defined by Section 990 of the Municipal Act.
