You come here today to manifest a universal desire Zor peace,

waik together in demonstration of your beliefs and your principles.
this, to me, is the true spirit of Gemocracy in action. To assemble
peaceably and to make our views known to other members of our eonmunity.

Many other British Columbians and indeed concerned eitizens around
the world walk with you today. T£ not in reality, then surely in
spirit. This ia not the first walk gor peace, and 4t perhaps won't be
the last, but it is of vital importance that we continue to assemble,
to walk, to make our views known to others.

ghere has never been & time in history where man has stood so close
to the edge of destruction, nor & time where man’s eapacity to achieve
world peace has been #0 near at hand. ‘You stanc here today on the side
ef peace and reason. you affirm man's abiiity to solve problens
