MEMORANDUM

TO: Mayor and Council May 31st, 1978

FROM: Planning & Zoning Committee

Re: Canopy for Shaughnessy Mall

Request has been received from the owner of Shaughnessy
Mall to install a vinyl canopy over the entrance to the mall.

This requires Council's approval as the canopy will
project over City sidewalk.

This canopy is not a permanent structure. It is inten-
ded to serve as a decorative feature as well as identification
for the entrance to the mall.

RECOMMENDATION:

The Planning and Zoning Committee has no objection to
the installation of the proposed canopy and therefore recommends.
that approval be given.
