Re: Paving of Parking Lot -- Aggie Park

Council will recall that at its meeting of May 31st, 1976, a report
from the Public Works & Leisure Activities Committee recommending that a
paved parking lot for approximately 25 cars be constructed on the former Aggie
Hail site was adopted. The cost was estimated to be $5,000.00 and the funds
were to be made available from Account No. 271200 - Community Centres and

Halls.

As recently discussed informally with some Aldermen Mayor Campbell
would like the Council to consider this item again even though he has not
used his powers under Section 180 of the Municipal Act to return the item to
Council for formal reconsideration.

Mayor Campbell's suggestion, if the Council do wish to reconsider
the matter, would be to leave the Aggie Hall site exactly as it is at present
and that proposals for its improvement be considered during 1976 budget
discussions.
