Dear Mr. Mayor:

This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter, dated July 28,
1975, in which you report the near tragedy at Rolley Lake and
point out certain deficiencies in our water safety program.

Needless to say, L am relieved that the drowning was averted.
What worries me, however, is that an impression should exist
that a Provincial Park Officer was apathetic in the face of a
distress situation. I intend, therefore, to insist on a
comprehensive and verified report of his actions.

As for additional water safety features at Rolley Lake Park, be
assured that we will be pleased to consider implementation of
your suggestions.
