Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting

The regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commitcee
was held on Thursday, March 28th, 1974 at 1:30 P.M. in the

Council Chambers.

ITEM I - Port Coquitlam Junior Amateur Hockey~Team.

Comments:
The Parks and Recreation Committee have received a proposal

from Mr. Bob Bruce and Mr. Murray Harder for the formation of a
Port Coquitlam Junior Amateur Hockey Team. (Please see attached
letter.) All organizations wishing maximum ice time ailocations
will be facilitated with the addition of the new arena; further
to this the Recreation Department will alse have ample time for
public skating and skating lessons. .

Recommendation:
The Parks and Recreation Committee recommends that the

proposal from Mr. Bruce and Mr. Harder be approved in principle.
Ice time will be available for games and practice with the .
‘addition of the new arena. Further to the above, that the
remainder of their proposal be negotiated at a later date and

not finalized at this time.
