A Bylaw to amend the "Port Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1987, No. 2240" The Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: Section 101 of the "Port Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1987, No. 2240" is amended by inserting the following definition between the definitions of "CIVIC USE" and “COMMERCIAL OUTDOOR RECREATION USE": "COMMERCIAL INDOOR RECREATION USE;" Commercial indoor recreation use means a use operated by a non-profit or commercial agency providing for public indoor sports and recreation, including fitness centres, gymnasiums, gymnastics, racquet sports, mini-golf, and similar uses, rf but excluding restaurants, lounges, commercial saunas and spas, and retail sale of equipment and accessories as a principal, complementary or accessory use. Section 1001(2)(b) of the Bylaw is amended by renumbering sub-sections (iv) and (v) as sub-sections (v) and (vi), respectively, and inserting the following as sub-section (iv): "(iv) commercial indoor recreation uses; provided that the building where the commercial indoor use is located, is protected by fire sprinklers". This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the "Port Coquitlam Zonirg Bylaw, 1987, No. 2240, Amendment Bylaw, 1992, No. 2728".
