Eng, Deputy City Engineer SUBJECT: Location of Recycling Transfer Station (Public Works Committee Meeting of July 17, 199%) That the City construct the Recycling Transfer Station on the southeast comer of 1675 Broadway Street. That the City construct the permanent access bridge to 1675 Broadway Street at this time at an estimated cost of $30,000. That funds for the bridge be taken from the $400,000 earmarked from Tax Sale Reserve for Recycling Equipment Purchase. Council was presented with the information contained in the attached report on July 13, 1991 meeting. It was agreed that along with the formal recommendation this report would also contain the disposition of the items brought up at the Public Information Meeting regarding the transfer station on July 11, 1991. The following are comments made by parties during the information meeting and their current status L. Request that Council re-examine the Cameron Street and Ryan Street buffer areas and the possibility of closing Cameron Street at the beginning of the buffer area. That a buffer zone made from trees or other camoflauge should be installed around the transfer station. ‘This item hes been refermed to the final design of the transfer station. That the exact traffic routes be established for the recycling trucks and both Council and the residents notified of these routes. Recycling tacks will utilize truck routes to get residential areas.
