Janna Taylor, Parks & Recreation Director SUBJECT: Hyde Creek Indoor Pool Recommendation fo support the opening of Hyde Creek indoor pool during the summer, if funds can be made available to operate the program. Background & Comments Petition The Parks & Recreation Committee have received a petition to open Hyde Creek indoor pool during the summer months. This kind of request has been received informally over the years. Cost to Operate Program The net cost to run an indoor pool program at Hyde Creek Centre would be $13,000. Activities such as swimming lessons, fitness swima etc. would be part of the program offerings. ' Benefits to Community There is no doubt that having an additional facility open during the summer months would enhance the department's’ program offerings.
