August l, 1987 ad et ew FR AUG 10 1987 The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam cH 2272 McAllister Avenue Port Coquitlam, 8.C. DELIVERED BY HAND Dear Sirs: Re: Proposed Rezoning of Lot 2, Block Y, District Lot 255, Group L Plan 22343, New Westminster District Civic Address: $1870 McLean Avenue Port Coquitlam, B.C. Rezoning from Residential to M3 Industrial I am writing as a concerned citizen with respect to the above-captioned matter. 1 reside at 1949 Taylor Street, and, the planned rezoning will affect me considerably as it is nearly right in my back yard. I wish to express my extreme protest at the planned rezoning, as I feel it is an unnecessary waste of our tax dollar. considering there are a number of unleased "multi~bay industrial sites" only a block away on Broadway which have remained unieased for some considerable time and Il feel there is no necessity to build new ones to remain vacant and left unkempt. 1 am also conerned, in that I have two small children, that the traffic increase in the area, ie. trucks etc. will make it even less safe for my children to play in there own home ground. Aside from the fact this rezoning will reduce the value of my heme it is quite obvious that once the one lot is rezoned the entire length of that particular block on McLean will become zoned M-3 industrial and create a . real eyesore. : I have spoken to a number of neighbours in the areca who are also most upset at | this rezoning plan and I only hope that they will express their protest as I am. Unfortunately, I will be out of town for the council meeting on August 10th, 1987, or 1 would be there in person to make my feelings known. Yours truly, | Mrs. Billie A.
