A regular meeting of the Municipal Council! of The Corporation of the
City of Port Coquitlam was hetd in the Counci! Chamber, Port Coquitlam
City Hall on Monday, July 20th, 1987, at 7:00 p.m.

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, Jed.
Keryluk, GR. Laking, WeWe Stewart and M.R. Wright in attendance.

Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk ReAc
Freeman, Deputy City Engineer/Operations Manager T.C. Chong, Recreation
Manager L.J. Wheeler and Director of Community Planning WeA. Brown.

SPECIAL PRESENTATION:

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced participants of

Tidal Towing - Junior Belle "A™
#2 Legion Credit - Junior Belle "B" Champions

and their coaches and presented them with certificates of recognition.

That the minutes of the Public Hearing and Regular Counci|! Meeting
held on July 6th, 1987, be taken as read and adopted.

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Mr. Richard Taylor,
Executive Director, U.B.C.M.e who then answered various questions from
+he Council members concerning the proposal by the U.B.C.M. to operate
the Municipal! Insurance Association of British Columbia. — so

That a final decision on whether or not the City of Port Coquitiam
will join the Municipal Insurance Association of British Columbia be
tables until. the Counci! Meeting of August 24th, 1987.
