GENERAL REMARKS - CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM

The animal control facility functioned extremely well during the month of
March.

The number of complaints for the first quarter of 1977 shows a decrease from
140 to 86, most gratifying performance, in addition, the number of animals
impounded, though slightly lower than previous years, there is an increase
in the ratio of animals claimed.

The number of animals being destroyed through the animal control facility
is also showing a marked decrease.

Copies of the first report on the Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic have
been forwarded for information.
