Carried. From the City Engineer, July 11th, 1975 respecting a lack of water City Eng. re water pressure pressure in the 1600 block Pitt River Road and a petition received with 1600 blk. Pitt River Rd. respect thereto and reporting on adjustments that have been made to the system in an attempt to alleviate the problem. Residents from the area were present at the meeting and indicated that, in their opinion, the adjustments had not corrected the problem satisfactorily and requested that further action be taken. Discussion ensued and Alderman Keryluk questioned whether further restriction of sprinkling would help solve the problem and Alderman Laking suggested that the Assistant City Engineer and the Water Foreman investigate the possiblilty of blockage elswhere on the line. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That the City Engineer be empowered to take whatever action necessary to ensure an adequate water supply to the 4 houses affected on Pitt River Road and if necessary impose further sprinkling restrictions as required. From the City Planning Officer, July 10th, respecting the present City Planning Officer re: regulations governing the height of fences in the City of Port Coquitlam. height of fences The Committee recommends that the present regulation allowing up to eight feet in height for fences to the rear of the required front yard be retained, and to this proposal the Council agreed. From the Senior Building Inspector » July 10th, 1975 advising that Sr.Bldg.Insp.re new street name the Street Naming Committee had selected the name “Penny Place" for the (S#55/73) unnamed street in the new subdivision (S#55-73) between Western Drive and Eastern Drive. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended in the report of the Senior Building Inspector, July 10th, 1975, the selection of the Street Naming Committee of "Penny Place" for the name of the new street between Western Drive and Eastern Drive, be approved.
