A regular rneeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam
was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hail, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port
Coquitiam, BC on Monday, December 12th, 1994, at 7:30 p m.

Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Councillors M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, W.W. Stewart,
R.H. Talbot, and M.A. Thompson were in attendance.

Also in attendance were City Administrator T.M. Chong, City Clerk 5.Rauh, City Engineer
LR. Zahynacz, Director of Community Planning C.F. Felip, and Director of Parks & Recreation

K.J. Taylor.

Councillor Talbot introduced a report from the City Clerk, Decernber 12, 1995 regarding Liquor
Licence Application for 2253 Wilson Avenue.

Moved by Councillor Tatbot:

That Council considers that the residents are in favour of granting a Liquor Licence for 2253
Wilson Avenue.

The Council’s views on the proposed location are as follows:

a. Although the Golden Ears Hotel has a similar facility nearby, this site is at the edge of the
Downtown and not located on the same street;

b. As this site is close to high-density residential areas, there is a tremendous potential for
pedestrian access;

As this site is adjacent to a municipal parking lot and there is ample on-street parking in the
vicinity, it is anticipated that parking will not be a major concem;

Since the site is a comer property and the building is not immediately adjacent to
residential development, noise is not anticipated to be a problem with this proposal,

The applicant has an excellent record of service to the community and has operated a
well-managed and respected business that is a pride of the City". :

An introduction of Supt. Lome Zapotichny, RCMP, was withdrawn and will be rescheduled at a
later date.

Ms. Audrey Burkhart, Bronze Medal Winner, was not available to receive her presentation.

His Worship Mayor LM. Traboulay introducea Mr. Tim Frick, Canadian Wheelchair Basketball.
