RESOLUTION

THAT the City of Port Coquitlam petition the Canadian Crown for a grant
of a coat of arma under powers now held by His Excellency the Governor General
and that the Mayor be authorized to sign the necessary documents to give
effect to this resolution, it being Council's understanding that the design
concept for such a coat of arms will be approved by Council before the final
Letters Patent are issued.
