Alderman Wright advised that a new piece of firefighting equipment has been ordered and should be arriving in the new year. Alderman Wright advised one of the duties of the Building and Protection Committee is to make recommendations to Council of new street names. Alderman Wright further advised the names are taken from a list of long time residents and that the Committee would be interested in any names of iong time residents citizens could provide. Alderman Wright advised the Community Development Committee is a liason between Council and the Chamber of Commerce and the Industrial Association and that meetings had been held during the year regarding the improvement of Port Coquitlam as an industrial center. Alderman Wright expressed appreciation to Channel 10 for giving Council the opportunity once a month of bringing the community up to date on Council. Alderman Wright expressed appreciation to the staff and Council members for their support, to former Mayor J.M. Campbell. for his encouragement and to'his family for their understanding.
