November 8, 1979 Mayor Campbell ; i Port Coquitlam, @.C, NOV 195 1979 Dear Sir: On Monday Nov. 5, 1979 at about 8 P.L. We found water in our 2 lower suites. Investigating further we found the city sewage was plugged. We contacted Ifir. Ed Eefner and he came with another city employee. Using a roter type machine they unplugged it. Mr. Hefner came and examined the damage next morning and turned his report in to the office. ‘Ye had @ lot of demare to our Floors end Carpets. In order to avoid further damage we had to tear up the carpets, and some flooring. We are told the insurence carried by the City may not cover our claim, which I think may be about % 2500.00. Not being well versed in this type of esti- mating. May we ask you to investigate this matter. My tenants are in a panic and we cannot expect them to live in these conditions. Please try to see what can be done. Ye cannot understand how city sewage can be dumped in our suites and the city cannot be re- spnsible,. Thank You Cy Thompson 234E Nelly Ave. Port Coquitlam, B.C.
