Recommended that the Kapoor property in Burnaby be purchased by the Green Belt Fund. Letters Patent for the Noise By-law was passed to the Technical Committee, pointing out that it might be ‘possible that existing Municipal By-laws would be better than a Regional By~law because of the inclusion of train and motor vehicle noise. $15,000.00 was approved for consultant fees for the Port Coquitlam GVRD Housing Project. Appeals against the Agricultural Land Reserve have caused us to put up a $15,900.00 budget. The municipalities will accept the appeals and will charge a $25.00 fee which will be retained by the municipalities. The Planning Committee of the GVRD of which Iara membcc will tandle the appeals. The payment to members of the Board for meetings has been raised from $25.00 per meeting which was struck in 1967 to $45.00. The Administration Advisory Committee has recommended rejection of centralized electronic data processing. This has been a study that has been carried on for some years and possibly this is a geod decision.
