A Class ‘C Class Running or walking, Seasons fun finale THE NORTHWEST'S running season winds up here Sunday, Oct. 2. And what better way to do it than with one of the region’s premier events, the All Seasons - Half Marathon. Of course, ia the 13 years the race has been around, it’s grown from that original 2ikm, half- marathon race. The Skm and 10km distances were added several years ago and participants were given the choice of either walking and running, Not surprisingly, that served to increase the event’s popularity and sent the entry soaring to last year's record 143 tumout, And organizers are hoping that figure will be surpassed this time around, With that goal in mind, they are encouraging people to come out and walk or run the Skm ‘‘College Loop”’, Although the walking option is there for the other two distances, they hope entrics there will run most of the distance. Once the race is over, there will be refreshments, spot prizes and awards at Northwest Community College. : The College is the start and fin- ish line for all three cvents, The Half-Marathon gets under way at 12 noon with the Skm and 10km starlers setting off an hour later. The entry fee, which inclides a long-sleeved T-shirt, is $14 for members of the Skcena valley Running club, $16 for BCAA members and $18 for non- members so long as they register early. Those waiting unlil race day, members or not, pay $20. Pre-registering will also ensure you get the right T-shirt size, Racing categories include child (under 13), youth (13-19), open female (20-34), open male (20- 39), masters female (35 years and up) and masters male (40 and up). For more information on the race, contact Ed Ansems at 635- 5646 (days) ‘or .635-4670 (even- ings). Entry forms can be mailed to Skcena Valley Runners at 4014 Eby St, Terrace, B.C., V8G 3A1, or drop them off at All Scasons Sports, The All Seasons is also the final chance for runners chasing tiles in this year’s Northwest Road Running Series. That series is decided on a run- ner’s best four finishes in qualify- ing races over the season. The top five males and females in various age proups cach receive a medal. 14th Annual Northwest Trapshoot (Sept 10-11) Event 1; 100 targets at 16 yds AA Class 1-Barry Meehan (Fi) 2-Wendell Miller (Ft) 1-Alvin MacLeod (Q) 2-Pat Ellis (N) 1-Russ Hicks (Sm) 2-Art Smith (¥) 1-¥ic Dean . 2-Peggy Bare (K) 1-Bob Blackburn (Sm) '2-Jim Graham (Ket), A Class B Class C Class D Class Event 2: 100 targets 18-27 yards Short Yardage 1-Elio Bomben 2-Don Newman (Ket) Long Yardage 1-Pat Bare (K) 2-Tom White (Y) Event 3: 50 pair doubles i-Larry Norbeck (PG) 2-Don Newman (Ket) 1-Tom White (Y) 2-Lawrence Hall (Q) 1-Gus Vansummeren (PR) B Class 2-Bill Watson D Class 1-Les Pattie (PG) 2-Elio Bomben Score Board Event 4: 100 targets 16 yards AA Class 1-Barry Meehan (FQ) 2-Wendell Miller (Ft) 1-Pat Bare (K) 2-Pat Ellis (FN) 1-Chuck Lariviere 2-Marilyn hall (D) 1-Pegey Bare (K) 2-Ray McCabe (Kw) 1-Joe Schwegier (Sm) 2-Lucille Robinson A Class B Class C Class D Class Event 5; 100tar/18-27yds aan Short yd. 1-Don Newman (Ket) 2-Lawrence Halt (Q) Long yd. 1-Tom White (Y) 2-Chuck Gregerson (Wh) Jackpot winners 1- Don Newman (Ket) 2- Tom White (Y) 3- Paul Bobiak (Wh) Ladies Troph 1- Peggy Bare (K) 2- Susa Rankhorn (Wash) Skeena Valley Ladies Club , Championship 3- Rhonda Fedderson a a a a Mal ada a dae Naa he te ea Sy aa SMa Da ha Pa Rn aaa a aaa ew a ha a lad a adhe a Pa ew ea hPa eh hate i OVERALL LOW GROSS OVERALL LOW NET Debbie Carruthers.....178 Lynne Price.....144 ‘A’ Flight (0-26 b’cap ) LOW GROSS: LOW NET: 1- Audrey Cox 1- Gail Shinde 2- Linda Hamilton 2- Pam Biffle 3- Brenda DeJong a, ‘B’ Flight (27-35 h'cap ) ee LOW GROSS: LOW NET: et 1- Dawne Parker 1-Sarinder Dhami 2- Sharon Smith 2+ Anne Pruner: 3- Joy Stevenson 3- Bonnie Letawski 4- Elaine Jolmson ‘4- Carol Kennedy ‘C’ Flight (36+ h'cap ) LOW GROSS: LOW NET 1- Lyn Apolczer 1- Norma MacDonald 2- Edith Gieselman 2- Nancy Spensley 3- Linda Kawinsky Vots Trophy 1- Scott Hutchinson (Q) Class High Overall Pins AA Class......
