New Agriculturist

The Hon. Frank Richter, minis-

‘ter of agriculture, has announced
the appointemnt of Mr. David E.
Havard, a 1951 graduate in Agri-
eulture at the University of Brit-
ish Cohmnbia, to the position of
‘district agriculturist at Smithers,
‘effective July 2,
_ Mr. Havard has gained an exten-
sive knowledge of mattera affect-
ing the current use of land in the
central interior through his many
years of serviee with the provin-
cial land inspection branch. He has
also been engaged in editortal
work with the Feed and Grain
Journal in Winnipeg. He is a mem-
ber of the British Institute of Agro-
logists and the Appraisal Institute
of Canada.

plans, specifications and all local
