President’s Commission A New Coquitlam: Campus for Douglas College Planning Assumptions The following are assumptions made for the purpose of holding the hearings of the President's Commission. Some of these assuniptions will stand the test of examination, debate and close scrutiny. Some others will change during the process. Same may well prove unfounded and will not be carried through to the detailed campus planning stage. The Coquitlain Campus will be part of a multi-campus Douglas College. The campus will serve between 5000 - 6000 full time equivalent students when completed. The cainpus will be developed in phases, with three phases expected. Before construction of phase one is undertaken, an overall cainpus concept and plan will be developed. | The campus will be home to a full range of community college programs and services. Some of the programs and services may be unique to the location, while others will be ihe saine as those offered at other cainpus locations. The nature and range of services provided on the campus will be determined by the instructional programs located there,
