The Petition of the City of Port Coquitlam HUMBLY SHOWETH: That the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam has by Bylaw No. 2028 cited as the "Laurier Avenue (Plans 2145 and 2300) Road Closure Bylaw, 1984, No. 2028" stopped up and closed to traffic a certain portion of Road therein described; That the said Bylaw No. 2028 of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam was reconsidered, finally passed and adopted by the Municipal Council! of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam on the. 9th day of April, 1984 and a duly certified copy is attached hereto; . ‘That the registered owners of all the adjoining and contiguous lands have consented to the closure of the said portion of Road described in the said Bylaw No. 2028 and The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam has agreed to accept title to the land comprising the same; That it is no longer necessary to use the portion of road described In the said Bylaw No. 2028 as part of the road system of the City and it is the desire of the of the Council of the said City to offer the land comprising the same for sale at fair market value in accord with the provisions of the Municipal Act and the lowest price that will be accepted for the property is $40,000.00. That by resolution dated the 16th day of April, 1984 the Municipal Council | of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam authorized the presentation of a Petition to the Minister of Municipal Affairs prayirg for the abandonment of the portion of Lane described in the said Bylaw No. 2028 so stopped up and closed to traffic; . THEREFORE your Petitioner humbly prays for the abandonment of the said portion of Road described in Bylaw No. 2028 of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam and the vesting of title to the land comprising same in The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam.
