To whom it may concern:

Mrs. Kathleen Muldoon has requested my written considered
opinion of Port Coquitlam council's Monday meeting schedule.

I must point out that as managing editor of The Herald I
am offering my position only because it has been regulariy
solicited by Mrs. Muldoon and in no way or manner as repre-

sentative of the newspaper am I requesting a change in Port

Coquitlam council dates. I feel that to do so would be con-

trary to our editorial policy and would also justly 7 ipitate

a request to both Port Moody city council and Coquitlam district.
As for printing the council agenda (if it could be released

prior to our deadline) I must also point out that this service

_would also be due the other two councils and as I would conisder

this "guaranteed space" it would fall under paid advertising.

‘Under present Herald publication dates and deadlines the
Monday evening meeting is invonvenient for the best possible

coverage of Port Coquitlam council proceedings...as are both

“Nw Fort Moody's and Coquitlam's Monday evening meetings.
