Carried. + P/Wks.Comm.re From the Public Works Committee, February 14th, 1975, advising of a 7No Parking- Langan from request received to establish No Parking 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p-m. on both Broadway East : sides of Langan Avenue from Broadway East, and that a letter from the City dated December 4th, 1974, sent to all businesses that would be affected received no adverse reaction to the proposal. In its report, the Committee further advised that later this year it is planned to widen this section of Langan Avenue using funds on deposit with the City provided by the original developer, and the parking restriction will be reviewed after the widening has been carried out. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That as recommended in a report from the Public Works Committee, February 14th, 1975, the "Traffic Regulation By-law, 1971, No. 1117" be amended to establish No Parking - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 P-m. - on both sides of Langan Avenue from Broadway East, with this parking restriction to be reviewed following completion of the proposed widening of that section of Langan Avenue later this year. Detachment. The City Engineer advised that the majority of the accidents occurred on arterial or secondary highways.
