Approximately 30 people attend- ed. . ‘The turnout was disappointing, considering that 585 players were . ’. registered. The door prize was won by Mike Brady. It has been a good season for .players. There were 42 teams and ~each team played at least 13 . games, not including the final tournament. Some teams travelled to Prince George, Kitimat and Prince Rupert for games and tour- naments, Out-of-town teams were also hosted at Christy Park. A well-deserved ‘thank you’ goes to all our coaches, assistant coach- es, referees and other volunteers who have given their time so gen- erously, The executive also. deserves a vote of thanks for the time and energy that has been put into the running of the association. A motion was passed to increase the fees for the 1992 season, The fees will be $30 for-children bom in 1982 to 1986 and $40 for the older players. Elections were held for a new executive; unfortunately, there were not enough volunteers to fill the positions. TYSA is the largest youth organization in Terrace and an organization of this size does ‘not function properly without committed and active volunteers. Registration for the 1991 season will have to be limited if we do not have enough volunteers. We need more people who can be depended on to do specific jobs, many of which can be done at home. Please contact Mary at 635-3475 or Bev at 635-3719 to offer your help. Indoor soccer program for kids to begin Contributed TYSA is starting a new program — an indoor soccer program for 10-year-olds and up. It will begin Monday, Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the E.T, Kenney school gym. Ses- sions will also be held on Fridays at 6:30 p.m. in the Clarence Michiel school gym. Due to our insurance limitations, participants must be already regis- tered with TYSA for the 1991 sea- son. Running shoes — not previ- ously used outdoors — must be worn. Come to E.T. Kenney gym Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. for more in- formation.
