Janna Taylor, Parks A Recreation Director Thompson Park - Parking Lot This year the expansion of Thompson Park, parking lot is included in our capital proJects. The in-house estimate, from engineering, is 831,000; but they are unable to do the detailed design work due to their heavy schedule. We will need to have the design work done by an outside firm„ (estimated to be 83,500). The other aspect of this project, is that we will need to meet with the residents to outline the plan so that they are fully aware of what is happening. The trees along Connaught Avenue will have to be removed and replaced with proper landscaping. Recommendation: 1. That working drawings be contracted out at an estimated cost of 83,500 and that this be taken from the park D.C.C. interest. That the estimated cost of 831,000, for the additional parking lot, be taken from the park D.C.C. inta est. That a meeting be called immediately, with the residents in ea. k P the Th g'li Ill( SISI II I 5 mllI'I KJT/pg $ L I'SIlIJ I I $ [IIYlill APR 6 I Is J I I I I I II (I I sI I I '988 I «MAIOLI) "I I1m// li & si~ 'I I ', I ~ 5FFF~ .'— = IF:— I MCMRR ~ IFF— F I ~1~ %mr THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQV(T(AIR MEMO Janna Taylor TO r From r )8ram Re : Birchwood Woods Date : Jan 13.88 very big chunk of this par)c is still the north side the only access is "virgen timber". fram Fraser Ave, so th o k t:t The lane allowance isith th e same name borderson to it. unopened- non n n existing .
