Sprinkling Noti Sufficient notice of the restrictions set out in Section 4 of this Bylaw or in any change or revocation thereof shall be deemed to have been given by an announcement made on behalf of the City through a radio or television station broadcasting in the area of the City or by one publication in a newspaper not less than 72 hours prior to the commencement, change or revocation of the restrictions. Sprinkling Penni (a) A person who has installed a new lawn, either by placing sod or turf or by seeding, or who has installed new landscaping on a substantial part of the outdoor portion of a premise, may apply to the City for a permit which will entitle the pertnittee to sprinkle at any time during the currency of the permit. The City may issue a permit to an applicant pursuant to Section 6 (a) upon payment to the City of a fee in an amount determined by the Council of the City. A permit issued under Section 6 (a) shall be valid for a period of twenty-one (2!) days after the date of its issue and shall be conspicuously displayed at the premises for which it was issued. After the expiration of a permit issued under Section 6 (a), a person may apply for and obtain one subsequent permit under Section 6 (a). Sprinkling Exemptions (a) The provisions of Sections 4 (a) to (c) inclusive shall not apply to the following class of water users which rely upon the steady supply and use of wa---: (i) Nurseries; (ii) Golf courses and pitch and putt courses providea _aey comply with the provisions of Section 7(b); (iii) Farms; (iv) Turf farms; (v) Tree farms; (vi) Sports fields, parks, public gardens. Golf course and pitch-and putt operators shall be exempted under paragraph (ii) provided their consumption of water complies with consumption quotas established by the Council of the City. PAGE | 32.
