THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM Igor Zahynacz July 9, 1991 City Engineer Ike DeBoer Engineering Technician Extend 450 diameter storm sewer in front of 1945 Cameron approx. 3 meters. BACKGROUND & CO! - A letter was written by a resident at 1945 Cameron (see attached) outlining problems with ditch slopes and the driveway washing away. This area of Cameron (1900 block, north side) is all open. ditch with individual culvert driveway crossings. The driveway crossing in question is asphalt. with a 450 diameter under. Road run-off from Cameron goes to the driveway and mins ~ into the ditch over the culvert. This run-off has scoured and undermined the asphalt driveway. UPGRADING REQUIRED: | 7 As the entire north side section of 1900 block Cameron requires storm enclosure, extensive upgrading should be avoided. Installing one length of 450 diarneter pipe complete with an, asphalt curb along the driveway to direct run-off will alleviate some of the resident's concems. a _ COST OF UPGRADING: | : One section of 450 diameter pipe installed (approx. 3 meters) complete with backfill and asphalt eurb: $1,000.00. : | | cries NOTE: - Payment for driveway crossing upgrades are usually paid by the individual homeowner. In this case, the ditch slopes that are sloughing in is a City problem. This section of Cameron should be looked at for future storm installation in the not too distant future.
