At the regular meeting held on January 6th, 1986, a resolution was unanimously passed by Council giving its endorsation of the Ladysmith Tall Ships Society's project to build the "BRITISH COLUMBIAN" a 101‘ top-sail schooner in Ladysmith; requesting that the Provincial Government accept the ship as its official flagship and ambassadorial vessel and; requesting that all Municipalities and Regional Districts give their respective endorsations of this exciting venture. Enclosed for your consideration and approval is a brief letter from the Society which we ask that your Council or Board return to my attention before January 3lst, 1986; so that your support may be brought to the attention of the Pxemier.
