Tonn of the District of Coquitiam asking Port Coquitlam Municipal Council "to reconsider your decision on the basis of attrition which would see youngsters who have been involved in your minor hockey programme continue". | ‘ The Parks and Recreation Committee discussed the above letter in a special meeting held on Friday, April 14th, 1972 and submit the following report: criteria o ; 1. That the Port Co Minor wkey Association has, with regard to membership, Etlam Minor modelled its constitutic 2 dines of the Coquitlam Minor Hockey Association n aicor z Constitution which states under Article 4, Section 2. ~ "Membership shall be open to those boys fulfilling the requirements laid down by the Executive and shall be con- fined to players who reside within the boundaries of the District of Coquitlam or whose parents or guardians pay taxes to the District of Coquitlam or where parents or guardians pay taxes to the District but live outside its limits. Those whose Minor Hockey. may also register for membership subject to approval of the Executive. 3. That the Port Coquitlam City Council only endorsed. the terms of membership as Stated in the Port Coquitlam Minor Hockey Association Constitution. 4. he Parks and Recreation Committee further stated that due to the above facts it would believe that Mayor Tonn does not endorse the Constitution of the Minor | ' Hockey Association within his jurisdiction.
