Canadian Radio-Television Commission heard an application by the
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation concerning a‘ propossl for its
few radio program pilicy.- The propotal is generally referred fo as

easy Objective to attain. The Commissionis aware that a great deal cf
effort is yet required to reach that objective. itis abvious, however,
that the rofe of the CBC in establishing and maintaining standards is

. For over 25 years, the people of Canada have supported thal service
of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation with public funds in order
to. achieve standards in Canadian broadcasting which a strictly
