The Flag of British Columbia Francophones (as illustrated on the cover) The dogwood is the symbol of British Columbia. The lines represent the sea and the rise in the lines suggest the Rocky Mountains. The "fleur de Ilys" symbolises the francophone community, while the circle alludes to the sun. One of the petals of the dogwood flower is also part of the "fleur de lys”. British Columbia is enriched by its francophones. The "fleur de lys" points to the sun, and where there is sun, there is life and hope. Written and designed by: Carole Drouin Layout: "The Ad Works"
