SUBJECT: MICROFILM READER/PRINTER REPLACEMENTS 1993 CAPITAL BUDGET
(Public Works Committee Meeting of April 2, 1993)

RECOMMENDATIONS:

1) That Council authorize the purchase of a Microfilm Reader/Printer at an estimated
cost of $30,000.G0.

2) That $30,000.00 be allocated frorn the 1993 Public Works Capital Budget.
BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

In the proposed 1993 Public Works Capital Budget Council has approved the purchase of a
Microfilm Reader/Printer to replace the existing Reader/Printer in the drafting office at an

estimated cost of $30,000.00.

This printer is used by the Engineering Department, the Building Department and the Clerks
Office for microfilm and microfiche printing.

As shown in the attached memorandum from the Engineering Technician the new printer would
be less costly to operate.
