Keryluk advised the following proposed Bylaw would now be considered: Bylaw No. 2396: to rezone Lot 5 D.L.e 231, 232, 255, 288, and 384 Group One Plan 11613 New Westminster District This property is located at 1611 Broadway and the proposed Bylaw would permit a phased development of.a trucking company depot. Don Carss, 1644 Connaught, is opposed to the rezoning and has concerns regarding the hours of operation, will trucks be coming in and out all hours of the evening, and would loud speakers be used. Would heavy equipment be used all hours in the maintenance and storage sheds. Would dangerous goods be stored there as not 600 feet from this area is a primary school with 500 children. The people have voted Council in to look after the benefits of Port Coquitiam residents and hope that Council will vote against this rezoning. Helen Baptiste, 1632 Connaught Drive, is opposed to the rezoning the property is directly across from her home and two years ago they were told this property would be rezoned light industrial and that Brown Stzzet would be closed and zoned park land. Many trees have been knocked down on Poco Trail there are a number of sand piles which are a danger to children. Would like to know why = trv-k depot is being built here when there are many properties on the ‘:, Hill bypass that are not zoned residential. Harvey Hatch, 938 Brunette, Coquitlam, Architect for the property. At Broadway there will be an Office Area, a Maintenance shop at the back of the site will be for storage of trailezs. They propose to maintain a 5 to 8 foot fern to enclose the back of the site, colors of the building will be muted blues. Dave Budgeil, 1629 Knappen Street is opposed te the rezoning and believes it will cause an air and noise pollution problem. He would like to stay in the neighborhood for many years and would like te see industry stay out of the area. Bob Boileau, 3241 Toronto Street, would like to clarify type of business to be operated. Hours of operation are approximately 7:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m. the diesel rigs, (4 or 5) only come in for oil changes and minor repairs major repairs are done in Langley, only light trucks will be kept on the property. As far as noise from speakers, none will be used as the trucks are radio equipped. He pointed out that the property has been designated for industrial use since 1971.
