Alderman Mabbett advised that a delegation was in attendance with respect to Westwood Park and Mr. Jack Arnold, 3600 Hughes Place, addressed the Council on behalf of those present expressing concern over the clearing being carried out at Westwood Park and stated that the work is more extensive than that agreed to at the recent Public Information Meeting. Aldermen Keryluk and Mabbett agreed to carry out an on site inspection at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 25th, 1978 and requested that the Works Superintendent order that no further work be carried out until some clarification of the work to be done is obtained. Darlene Johnson, 2382 Patricia Avenue, added that the natural bush area near the tennis courts had been considered the only safe area for the small children to play and further that the traffic in the area was becoming a problem.
