TENDER FOR THE SERVICE OF TOWING & STORAGE
OF IMPOUNDED VERICLES

Gentlemen:

We submit herein our tender for the provision of the service of towing

and storage of impounded vehicles.

A.

Scope of Service ta be Provided

Upon the request of a Peace Officer (either from the 8.C.H.P, or the
City's own By-lav Enforcerent Officer) to attend at any tine of the

day or night at the lecation of the vehicle to be impounded.

To tow the impounded vehicle to our own storage yard for storage therein.

To store the impounded vehicle in our safe, eaclosed, storage area for a
minimum of Thirty (30) days (unless sconer claimed by the registered ower).

To release the vehicie to the registered owner upon request and to collect
all towing and storage fees chargeable from the registered ower.

In the case of unclaimed vehicles to sell the same at public auction

(after a wininun storage period of Thirty (30) days) giving at least one
week's notice thereof by advertisement in the Legal Classified section of

@ newspaper circulating in Port Coquitlan.

In the case of a vehicle sold at auction to retain from the proceeds
thereof an amount equal to the towing and storage fees thereon with the
balance payable to the City of Port Coquitlam.

To accept, either directly or through our insurers, al} valid claims for
less ot damage incurred to an icpounded vehicle while tha same is being
towed or is in storage.

Charges to be levied

Towing fee:

(a) for a vehicle 20" in length or less. 2... 2 ce oe $ &.00

NOTE: The towing and storage service oust be available twenty-four
houre a day, seven days a veek.

Length of Contract

We guarantee that the services outlined herein will be provided at the
prices quoted until December 31st, 1973.

Special Understandin;

We herewith etate our understanding and agreement that the City of Port
Coquitlam in ao way guarantees payment of our towing and storage fees
but chat these fees aust be collected from the registered owner or from
the proceeds of the pubiic auction sale of the vehicle,
