agement tasks.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Terrace Kitimat Partners for
Salmonids committee, and the General Manager of
16/37, the Coordinator will be responsible for caor-.
dination and liaison with all community groups and
agencies involved in Fisheries, do research, plon-
ning, organizational and proposal. writing for
Fisheries programs and strategies. Work with the
TKPS committee and other staff members in develop-
ment of administrative, financial reports and organ-
izational programs, Work with the TKPS and all com-
munity partners to enhance the establishment and
development of fish strategies for the region.

‘ QUALIFCATIONS

The person we seek must be highly motivated, an
enthusiastic self-starter and be able to work in
changing situations with a variety of people and iter-
ests. Strong interpersonal and coping skills are
essential. Must have the ability to work effectively
with a volunteer Board and work under the Genera!
Manager.along with other staff members on a Team
Concept basis. Communication and computer skills
are definitely required. A Bachelor of Science
degree, diploma or related work experience in the

TERRACE HOSPICE SOCIETY

is looking for volunteers. They will be cHering a volunteer irain-
ing sassion November 6-8, 1998. We are looking or 15 to 20
peopla who are interested in taking the training and consider
working with Hospice clients. Hospice volunteers provide care
and suppart fo the terminally ill and their families. Just being
there is enough sometimes ber some, for others, listening and
talking to them, playing games, going ro walks, writing letters
for them, or cther small favors, provide the suppert they need.
Potential volunteers should be mature, stalbe, ahve good listen-
ing skills, be dependable,and have the ability to work as part of
a team. Thay also must be willing to have a criminal records
search done, and take an oath of confidentiality.
