defence of non-insane
automatism has been described as
the defense of a scoundrel,'” but
was valid in this case. _

“The person who assaulted
(this woman) wes not Patrick
Rinsma,”’ he argued. “It was
someone acting involuntarily.”

ing that Rinsma acted voluntarily
