Contract let

A $1.4 million contract to widen
Highway 16 where it goes through
Hazelton has been awarded to
Nechake Northcoast ‘Construction
Services of Smithers.

The project will widen the high-
way from two to four lanes for a
length of one kilometre where the
road passes through New Hazelton.
The contract includes the road
work, curbs, gutters and lighting.

Completion is expected by the
fall of this year.
