A special meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on July 10th, 1980 at 6:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, E.W. Mabbett, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance. Atso in attendance were Chief Administrative officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman and City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng. REPORTS: From the City Engineer, July 9th, 1980_ recommending that two new City Eng-;, pumps be purchased for the Handley Crescent Sewage Pung Station with the July 9/80 re Bost Handley Cres. installation to be carried out by City crews and that the approximate Sewage Pump Stn.! cost of $25,000.00 be taken out of the 1980 Budget. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That as recommended by the City Engineer, July 9th, 1980 two new pumps be purchased as outlined in the attached report from the Assistant City Engineers dated July 9th, 1980, with the installation to be carried out by City crews; AND THAT the approximate cost of $25,000.00 be taken out of the amount appropriated therefore in the 1980 Budget. carried. The City Engineer offered a verbal explanation of the sewage pumping problems being encountered in the Handley Crescent area. Adjournment.
