From the City Treasurer/Deputy Administrator, June 26, 1992 regarding Tax
Exemption - Firms in the Pollution Control Business.

That Council forward the following reselution to the UBCM for
consideration at the UBCM Conference this fall:

That Section 398 (1)(q)(1) of the Municipal Act be amended by adding the
following sentence "That qualifying property under this section must not
be operated for profit or gain and must be owned by a charitable or
philanthropic organization supported in whole or in part by public funds."

From the City Engineer, June 24th, 1992 regarding Street Flusher/Vacuum
Truck ~ 1992 Public Works Replacement Program.

That the City Council award the tender for a new flush/vacuum truck to
National Machinery Ltd. at the tendered price of $243,586.19.

That $243,586.19 be allocated from the Public Works Capital Equipment
Replacement Fund.

From the City Engineer, June 24th, 1992 regarding Encroachment of Roof
Overhang over Storm/Sanitary Sewer Right-of-way - 1273 Coutts Place.

Seconded by Alderman Talbot:

That Council approve a request to allow a minor encroachment of a roof
overhang on to the sanitary/storm sewer right-of-way over the southern portion
of the lot at 1273 Coutts Place provided that the owner agrees to register a
restrictive covenant at his expense stating that the property owner would
assume any responsibility for damage to the encroaching roof overhang that may
occur during maintenance work for the sanitary/storm sewer in the right-of-way.
