That the application received for a building permit to construct a
duplex at 1968 Coquitlam Avenue, be approved. Carried.

Alderman Traboulay inquired whether the units would be strata title
or rental, and the City Planning Officer advised the applicants only
came in to see if it would be possible to obtain building permits for
construction of the duplexes.

and confirmed ;

Alderman Laking voted against the resolution.
Alderman Traboulay noted that Mr. Melnechenko's salary has not been

mentioned, and to his suggestion that a little background on this new

employee be provided to the press, Meyor Campbell agreed,
BY-LAWS:
From the City Clerk, December 22nd, 1975, advising that the “Commercial
Vehicle Licencing Amending By-law, 1976, No. 1412" 1s available for
initial consideration, and was necessitated due to the change in the

Municipal Act eliminating the requirement for obtaining "exemption

plates" for vehicles that are exempt from the licencing provisions.

Alderman Ranger introduced a By~law to provide for the liceneing of
