From the Public Works Committee, May 23rd, 1975, advising that as part of the 34-unit townhouse apartment project between Vincent and Sefton St. May/75 Sefton Streets the Building & Protection Committee had requested that the Developer install speed bumps in the lane North on Salisbury and requesting, as these have now been installed, authorization therefore and revision of the Traffic By-law to provide for a 5 m.p.h. speed limit. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That the action of the Public Works Committee in having speed bumps installed in the Lane North on Salisbury as requested by the Building & Protection Committee as part of the 34-unit apartment project between Vincent and Sefton Streets, be endorsed; AND THAT the Traffic Regulation By-law be amended to provide for a5m.p.h. speed limit on the said section of lam. From the Public Works Committee, May 23rd, 1975, advising that the number of traffic accidents - in particular, the Mary Hill Road-Wilson Avenue vincity, and that after each was reviewed in detail, it was apparent the accidents were of a random nature with no single cause identified as contributing thereto; further, that neither Corporal Melanson nor the Committee feel any changes to the existing intersections or traffic control devices are necessary at this time.
