Recommendation:

The Parks and Recreation Committee recommend that school skating rental rates
be $8.00 an hour between the hours of 8:30 AM ~ 3:30 FM, and that the skate
rental be .50¢.

Bandshell at Lions Park

Comments:

Mr. Lee Kallen has approached the Comnittee with regard to having Suuday
afternoon band concerts in Lions Park in 1974, This would rean that a
concrete slab be constructed for the bands. The concerts would operate
for 10 weeks during the summer months. ‘There would be a $500.00 grant

needed for operating costs to cover honorariuns paid te the bands, as

well as a $10.00 a week charge for the Co-ordinator.

Recommendation:

considered at a later date,

Now that detailed plans are underway for the construction of the new
recreation facilities, the Committee has been meeting with different

groups to iron out minor details in the plans. Committee has had several
