Anne Lewis

The Anne _ewis workshop, held January 24 at Capilano College,
North Vancouver was attended by an enthusiastic 34. Anne
explained how the materials were collected and prepared for
pot making. After demonstrating the traditional Pueblo
methods of handbuilding, Anne explained the day-to-day and
ceremonial uses of the various shapes, emphasizing that the
pots were used truly from birth to death.

This relaxed workshop left an impression of the integral part
that clay, in all its forms and stages, plays in the lives of
the people of this Pueblo tribe.
