Pitted against teams from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the United States, Australia and two other BC contenders, the North central squad finished fifth overall. Best team results were a runner-up finish in jumping, third in barrel racing and fourth in the hunt seat. , Muller, 14, did one better than her team in the individuals of the hunt seat, taking third in the 14- 18 years division. She also picked up a fourth in the individual flag picking while the team could get no closer than ninth. The North Central team also picked up a sixth place finish in the pole bending, Muller placed ninth in both the pole bending and barrel racing individuals. Although the barrel racing finish was not as high as she had hoped for going into the event, it was a strong performance given there were as many “as 36 entries in the — individual classes.
