A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City
of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall,
2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, August 10th, 1992, at
73:30 p.m.

Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Aldermen M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H. Talbot,
and M.R. Wright were in attendance.

Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, Acting City Clerk R.
A. Freeman, City Engineer I.R. Zahynacz, Director of Planning C.R. Felip.

SPECIAL PRESENTATION:

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced the members of the PoCo
Marlins Swim Club whe had received awards at the 1992 Provincials. His
Worship presented each team member with a Certificate of Recognition.

Seconded by Alderman Gordon:

- That the minutes of the Public Hearing and Regular Council meeting held on
July 27th, 1992 be taken as read and adopted.

Carried.

DELEGATIONS:

His. Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced and presented an award to Mr.
‘Fin Donnelly, a resident of Port Coquitlam, who will be swimming the Georgia
Strait on Saturday, August 22nd, 1992 from Sechelt to Nanaino as part of the
"Save the Strait Marathon".

. His Worship Mayor LM. ‘Traboulay introduced Ms. Gayle Carter, President of
the Chamber of Commerce who addressed Council regarding the Chamber of
Commerce 's willingness to sponsor Trade Fairs in this area.

That. the presentation from the Chamber of Commerce regarding their
willingness. to sponsor Trade ‘Fairs in this area be referred to the Economic
Development Committee. 7
