The applicant be advised that at the Public Hearing held on February 18, 1991 citizens in the area expressed the following concerns: a. Access to the proposed facilities from Angelo Avenue will create undesirable traffic and noise; Customers of the facility will litter the surrounding local residential roads; and The proposed facility will result in unacceptable levels of noise on the surrounding neighbourhood. The applicant be advised that Council is not prepared to support the licence for a lounge and a wine and beer store until the above concerns are resolved ta the satisfaction of Council. . Development Permit Area IV be extended to include all properties fronting Lougheed Highway, between Coast Meridian Road and Shaughnessy Street BACKGROUND: The applicant is seeking support for his application to obtain a Liquor licence for a beer and wine store and a lounge, both associated to a proposed 20 room motor hotel. A Public Hearing on this application was held on February 18, 1991. The Surrounding residents expressed a number of concerns about the proposed facility; the most significant of these concerns are reflected in the recommendation section of this report. | PROPOSED DESIGN AND_LAND USE: The applicant is proposing a 20 room motor hotel complemented by a 100 seat dining room, a 65 seat pub/lounge and a cold beer and wine store. The design is preliminary, of very poor quality; parking jis not dimensioned and is partially on property owned by. the Department of Highways. 2/
