Alderman Mabbett advised he had spoken to the Senior By-law Officer concerning the "old LaFleur house" on Pitt River Road, which is in a very dilapidated condition and stated he felt some action should be taken in that regard. The City Administrator advised that a letter has been sent to the owner of the building instructing that it be demolished. Apr./75 report- From the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, May 9th, 1975, being the RCMP April, 1975 Municipal Policing Report. Alderman Traboulay commented on the last page of the report dealing with local criminal and drug activity, and stated his concern that the ethnic origin of persons involved in one robbery should be set forth therein. Apr./75 report~ From the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelt* to SPCA Animals, April 30th, 1975, being the April, 1975 service report of the pound operation. The report was received for information. REPORTS: Housing Comm.- From the Housing Committee, May 9th, 1975, submitting a complete (report deferred) report covering a number of aspects of the housing situation in Port Coquitlam together with recommendations, and advising that copies thereof are available for the public. His Worship the Mayor suggested that the report be placed as the first item on the agenda for discussion at the May 26th, 1975 meeting, and to this members of Council generally agreed. Comm. Dev. Comm. From the Community Development Committee, May 6th, 1975, advising aBC Hydro R/W- tCoquitlam R. that a draft Right-of-Way Agreement has been received from the B.C. Hydro & Power Authority to permit construction of a power line in the vicinity of the Coquitlam River, and have offered the City the sum of $2,150.00 as compensation for the Right-of-Way, the granting of which was approved in June of 1974. The Committee, in its report, pointed out that while the City would remain the owner, the land would be subject to the terms of the Agreement.
